If you’re trying to locate someone after the Nepal floods

Pick one caller.

Make one shared log (a doc or a single email thread) with: last known location and time; full name(s) as used on travel documents; age; a recent photo; any ID numbers; distinguishing marks; who has already been contacted; every number called; who answered; what they said; and when you’ll try again.

When you reach anyone on the ground (hotel, employer, guide, friend), ask one thing first: who they’ve already reported to, and what reference number or contact name they were given. Then follow that chain, once per day, through one person — not ten people calling the same line.
